Small high shear disperse impeller with shaft sleeve
Introduction
Small disperse impeller; High shear disperse impeller; Dispersion disc; Saw tooth type dispersing disc made of stainless steel, featuring a peripheral saw-tooth design. Used for rapid dispersion and de-agglomeration of solid particles into liquids (paint, ink, chemical slurry), etc. A high-speed dispersing blade impeller (often called a saw-tooth or Cowles blade) is a rotating device used to mix, disperse, and break down solid particles or agglomerates within a liquid.
Primary Function: To rapidly break down solid particles (pigments, powders) and create stable liquid mixtures or emulsions;
Operating Speed: Typically from 500 to 5,000+ RPM, creating intense hydraulic shear;
Key Industries: Paints & Coatings, Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Adhesives.
How It Works:?
The blade features a disc with serrated teeth on its outer edge. As it spins at high speed, it creates two distinct actions:
High Shear: The teeth create millions of tiny, high-velocity impacts that tear apart solid clumps and droplets.
Hydraulic Pumping: The rotation creates a vortex that continuously pulls material from the top and sides into the high-shear zone directly under the blade.
