Data shows that the annual corrosion rate of Hastelloy C276 alloy in boiling 10% hydrochloric acid solution is only 0.13mm, which is far superior to the 25mm annual corrosion rate of 316L stainless steel; in harsh working conditions with chloride ion concentration as high as 100,000 ppm, it can operate continuously and stably for 8 years without perforation. Its resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking is at the top level in the industry. At the same time, the alloy still maintains excellent mechanical properties at high temperatures. The tensile strength can reach 450MPa and the yield strength 220MPa at 600.
